Dermot Kennedy: Sonder Tour Review

It can be daunting for a solo artist filling an arena, but Dermot Kennedy has gone above and beyond demonstrating that as a solo male artist he has the capability to dominate a huge stage and humble the audience. The last time I saw Dermot Kennedy was on the main stage at Nottingham’s Rock City back in 2019 entertaining a crowd of 2000. But in the four years since then, Dermot’s career has sky-rocketed. But his latest record shows … Continue reading Album Review: George Ezra – Staying At Tamara’s

Also known as Callum Burrows the 22 year-old Nottingham singer took a two year hiatus after releasing album Young Blood. But he’s back and recently surprised fans with first single Nightcrawling. It’s my favourite track on the EP for a number of reasons, firstly because it’s an absolute belter; it’s catchy with incredible lyrics, and it’s hard not to love Burrow’s distinct vocals. It’s an easy … Continue reading Saint Raymond, A Light That Blinds EP Review

Album Review: The Loved Ones – Flyte

Discovering new music is exciting, and this is a band, relatively new to me, who have really caught my attention this year. Their debut album The Loved Ones is old-school and brilliant. Sophie Turrill gave the ten track masterpiece a listen to; here’s the verdict: Flyte are a British alternative pop/alternative rock band from London who formed in 2013 and have had early singles played by Zane Lowe and Fearn Cotton. The four piece made up of Will Taylor (lead singer and guitar), Sam Kerridge (keyboard, guitar and backup vocals), Jon Supran (drums and backup vocals) and Nick Hill (bass and backup vocals) … Continue reading Album Review: The Loved Ones – Flyte
